You did it!
Hi all,
It has almost been a week since many of you had your race. I was fortunate enough to cheer on a few of the full marathoners. No matter what distance, I’m sure you felt on top of the world as you crossed the finish line. Congratulations! You did it! I hope you celebrated the incredible thing you just did – you deserve it!
You have trained many months for this. Every week has been planned out carefully and you executed so well. Try to spend some time on reflecting over the last months and the race. Write down some of this while it is still fresh. What went well? What could have gone better? I want you to know that it is perfectly normal to have a lot of raw emotions after a race, then now, a few days later, starting to feel maybe a bit empty. Like you lost something. My goal was reached, but… now what? It is recommended that you take a week or two off from running. Let your body and your mind rest for a while. There will be plenty of opportunities to get back into it. More to come on that very soon.
Also, stop by the Frisco Running Company this Saturday from 11-2 for a FREE medal engraving. Thank you Wim!
