Frisco Running Club is a vibrant, community-focused group of runners dedicated to promoting health, fitness, and fun throughout the Frisco area. As an RRCA-certified club, we offer organized runs nearly every day of the week, including social runs, training sessions, and events for all experience levels. Whether you’re training for your next race or just looking for a friendly running community, Frisco Running Club welcomes you to join and connect with fellow runners.

2026: Growing Together

Last year, we set an ambitious vision for the Frisco Running Club. And you know what? We made real progress.

We reimagined our brand identity. We completed a full training cycle that proved we could scale beyond a handful of routes. We built partnerships that give our members access to discounts, expert advice, and resources to run safer and smarter. We formalized our governance because we knew that structure, done right, enables freedom, and not bureaucracy.

But we also learned something important: when one or two people try to own everything, something has to give. Our weekly engagement numbers showed us that. We had the community. We had the talent. We just ran out of bandwidth.

So here’s what 2026 looks like: We’re not adding more. We’re working smarter.

Why does this matter right now?

The running landscape is evolving. While many runners continue chasing big events, we’re seeing stronger growth in smaller, community-driven races. That’s the space where FRC thrives and where real connection happens, where people show up week after week and actually know each other’s names. Running clubs are the heart of this movement.

You’re part of something real. In a suburb that’s exploded with new people, FRC is the place you belong. Where a jogger training for a 5K, a marathoner chasing the Dallas Marathon, and someone rediscovering running after years away all show up together. Where you’ll see the same faces, build real friendships, and become part of something that lasts.

This year is about clarity and trust. Every big initiative has an owner. This means someone who knows what success looks like and who isn’t on an island. This is how running clubs scale.

Here’s what we’re focused on in the next six months

Big Star Half Marathon. We’re starting a new training program in the coming weeks that builds toward the Big Star Half Marathon this spring. We want this to be a memorable community event.

Volunteer leadership pipeline. We need 5-7 co-leaders stepping into clear roles across events, training, and community. We have the people. We need the structure.

Member storytelling & belonging. What makes FRC different is you. This year, we’re capturing and sharing the stories that remind people why they show up: transformation, community, consistency.

Youth pilot. We started this in 2025 and didn’t make progress. That changes. One partnership, done well, sets us up for growth.

To our core members: We’re coming to you in the next few weeks to ask: What will you own? What excites you? This isn’t about adding work. It’s about aligning passion with purpose.

To everyone who runs with us: Thank you for being part of something authentic. Running clubs are the heart of the sport right now. And FRC is one of the best. We’re proud to do this work as an RRCA member club and 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to keeping our community safe and welcoming.

If you want to help us build something incredible, reach out. We’re looking for people ready to step in and lead.

Let’s make 2026 the year people talk about us!
